Sorry ,can't get over the fact people need to walk about with a coffee in their hand ,bottle of water ?

See the Pet Hates thread lol same here why do people have to have a coffee skin grafted to their hand and if their wearing one of those stupid long coats that wild swimmers wear it tips me over the edge ridiculous people.

Is there anywhere in the UK that does the same as the yanks; pay for one coffee and get free refills ? £4 for a coffee ? Anyone paying that should have their money confiscated as they aren’t in c

I don’t know if many on here have the coffee bug but I buy one when I’m out and about, sometimes on the way out shooting or hunting. It all started off at about £1.50 a cup a couple of years ago but on Friday, I was charged £4 for a mediocre Americano from a place I’ve used many times. No more, that’s it for me, I’ve found a guy who runs a greasy spoon and does a Nescafé for £1.50 ☕️ Can anyone beat that?

In my buisness we charge £1.50 A cup and it's nescafe the same.  But we going to have to have a increase in prices due to cost of raw materials going up plus minimum wage and national insurance.

Constant refills in most diners stateside and Canada, attentive waitresses always keeping an eye on your liquid levels as they pass the tables.

But then get shitty if you dont leave a big enough tip because their bosses don't pay them enough.

Personally we have always paid above minimum wage for the shop staff, treat em well hopefully they will do the same. During lockdown we stayed open and a gave all the staff a grand cash bonus each  for being loyal and putting the hours in to stay open. So even tho minimum wage as gone up, I have put ours up  again so they are above it . Plus they do get tips , I think at Xmas they all got about 500 each . The food industry is a tough  competitive business these days.

I can imagine it being very hard these days mate plus some town's and city's don't help the independent traders with high rent's and also the high cost of energy and other rates. My mate is fortunate that his wife and eldest daughter run the small independent coffee shop and he has his building business.

Up until Covid I always had a second business, but when Covid hit I shut it up to concentrate on here. When the electric went up , I was paying about £800 a month and ours went up to £2400 a month , fckin comical . Yeah it’s hard work mate

I have had poutine in McDonalds and their coffee is ok on a cold morning as is Greggs and Tom Hortons coffees, but all that Big Mac burgers are totally unappetising, they look like crap in the main, have to be desperate to eat one.

Fox food the same applies to KFC, Leo’s grub he puts up is more of what I like good food made from scratch.
