nippie ferret

if you put some vinegar on ur fingers or where ever he or she is nipping , once the ferret tastes the vinegar it should put them off nipping again there is several things you can try on your hands , vinegar is probably the easiest method but some pet stores have bitter apple spray that you can apply to your hands and feet etc . hope this helps

i have heard that bigger ferrets are bad for cornering rabbits so they wont bolt, but if you use smaller jill then the rabbits attempt to run out past them , im pretty new to ferreting though , but eveyone has there own opinion , if you ask around you will see a wide variety of answers

sorry mate but its all part of the process , unless anyone else has any better ideas but this is only one i heard of , you can either continue to be bitten or be bitten a couple of times more until she realises shes hates the taste if she bites . or if the ferret bites just put her back in her hutch etc she will soon learn shes done wrong and will give up biting , but it takes time that method , so i would just try the vinegar make your hand into a fist if shes goin to bite that way she wont get her teeth on to anything apart from your knuckles

you have to be prepared to be bitten!no one likes it but if you're frightened of being bit, you'll pull or twitch your hand away from the ferret every time you try and pick it up.got to be confident and have the "i AM picking you up" attitude! otherwise its a vicious circle....
