Decided to fish a well established Syndicate lake in Somerset this weekend and it wasnt nothing special but still good to get out. Got woken

on both mornings with some weird cracking sounds only to get out and find the bivvy fully frozen over it was bloody cold to say the least.

its not an overly big lake something like 9 acres, but it is a lake ive had nemerous 20's out and tench to 7lb 40z. Any way the period i was

there i managed to bank around 11 carp mainly falling for a cocktail boilie or some home made pellets the size of the carp were nothing to

boast about ranging from 1lb to 12lb. At about 2 am i was awaken by the screaming sound of the bite alarm so rushed out and played in a

lovly 12lb 4oz linear mirror. But i must admit we couldnt of asked for a better weekend weather wise as the rain kept off and the sun was

shining bright and warm on both days. But i was very glad when i managed to bank a 2lb tench maybe this is a sign that they could be on

feed a little sooner this year on this certain fisherie. But one thing i will be doing next time is taking the s410 to take care of a few f*****g

ducks, you try spodding or fishing the method float and you have 7 of the fuckers there as soon as it hits the water after the free samples

of bait. Off again next week to see if i can bank cooper the carp which has been landed once allready this year weighing it at 33lb and which

was on January the 6th.

Cheers AG.

Back about 3 years ago my brother religiously went back and forth a lake feeding the fish sugar puffs yes sugar puffs! :boogie: You can take the pi*s after if u like  . 2 months after him repeatedly doing this we hit the lake on a weekend, in the first 3 hours of fishing with the sugar puffs we weighed in 80 odd pounds of fish, :tongue2: mainly bream and tench. By the sunday afternoon we weighed out the fish between us and the total was 563 pounds! The fish were mainly bream, tench and big carp, it was 1 of the best fishing experiences ive had by him doing this but the thing was there was a few fishermen who came over to ask what we were using for bait! The word got out and everybody started using it and the fish just wised straight up to it! :wallbash: Perhaps we will use coco pops next time ha! ha! Here are some old photos my brother took on the beginning of the saturday morning.

P.s AIRGUNNER duck tastes cross between beef and pigeon I think a bit greasy though!

I dont doubt that the slightest Whitey and wont take the piss either because i have tried sugar puff's but not to the same result.

All i done was free lined two pieces on the hook in the margins i had a few carp to low doubles this was on surface but one thing

you do need to do is check your bait recently as the sugar puffs soak up the lake water quick and gets really soggy resulting the

puffs coming on the hook very easy. I will let you in on one of my secret surface baits which is Golden Nuggets by Nestle there a

bit harder and last that little longer while in the water.

Another plus about using cereal baits is that you can add or customise it to suit your requirements with flavourings, colours, or

different mixes or methods etc.

Nice result Whitey great pics
