THE STIFFMEISTER 16,434
I wrote a massive moving post about sport and in reality , I remembered this and lost it laughing , to this day , few things have ever trumped it
eastcoast 4,281
Another one that came to mind on seeing this thread... Frank Bruno winning a heavyweight title in 1995. People may scuff, and young lads may not know that no British boxer had held the title in that century. Lennox Lewis had a belt but he had not won it in the ring. Went the distance, when the words were said AND THE NEW, HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD! we partied like it was 1999. Edited April 5 by eastcoast added 3

Scotland were out of the world cup but a big crowd of us, over 100 people went to watch this in a pub. The jocks were so blown away when Archie scored , they broke into Flower of Scotland and pointed at me.lol Another time I was genuinely innocently whistling The Bolero after Torvill and Dean at work. You have no idea of the abuse I got. Poison dwarves never forget.

Tomo is right in a way though, I'm not naive enough to think nobody else has cheated since and nobody has got close to her times, but as I said, these days it's microdosing compared to the 80's. There have been loads obviously but top of my head some of the best fights I’ve watched live might be Benn v McClelland, Morales v Barrera.., and a domestic fight between Jamie Moore and Matt Macklin. best i’ve seen in my time live was benn mcclellan what a fight
