I agree, but if you turned up at a Jet Propulsion Lab with Halford tools, you wouldn’t be allowed in !

If a tool failed and ingressed a jet engine it would cost a fortune to sort out.

Something as simple as a wrenches chrome plating coming adrift and getting into an engine could have catastrophic consequences !
My tools such as micrometers, vernier gauges, torque wrenches, had to go to the calibration lab to be checked on a regular basis.

But as I said, the cheaper alternatives are ok for DIY  jobs.

Cheers.

i get what your saying mate but the halfords advanced is quality chrome as good as my snap on easy but the ratchets aint as good you can’t walk up check your calibration on the van  mate but i’ve never  had issues really

im mainly snap on mate cant fault it but for a set socket spanner’s ratchet spanner’s you won’t beat halfords for quality and warrenty as good if not better than bluepojnt i’d say you can’t get blue point swapped as quick of  the snap on van

these halfords advanced ratchet spanner’s quality mate 90quid ish 8to 24mm lifetime warrenty that snap on rat hey cost 3 times that and with them 2 pairs a pliers you could get every tool

you every needed for the price of a snap on  ratchet and 2 pairs a snap on pliers lol

most my snap on i leave at home lol

Just popped into Lidl got this wet stone for £6 puts a good paper cutting edge on your blade

I still have the oil stone in the box I made as an apprentice over 35 years ago.

That's a good deal I'm stoned out , I've a deluxe lansky I bought my late father about 6 yr back still unopened I might give it a whirl later , knife sharpening is rather therapeutic....

Have you tried “Metrinch “ sockets ?
I was gifted a set one Xmas by my daughters Canadian boyfriend.

They grip the flats of a nut or bolt , not the points. They can get you out of trouble with worn fasteners.

Cheers.

Is that a genuine “ Buck” knife ?

I bought one in America but unfortunately it was in one of my shipment home boxes that went walkabout.
Great knives, hold an edge well.

Cheers.

Snap on is not worth the money anymore, drastic drop off in quality now most of it is made in asia, a hell of a lot of my gear is over 30 years old and takes some punishment, the newer stuff keeps breaking and getting replaced, when I get fed up of changing tools I say sod it and try another make. There are many that now make better tools than snap on
