The truth is, diets are very tribalistic. Someone tries it, thinks they are getting good results because they cut out a lot of junk and therefore it's the diet that did it and not the restriction of junk.

Then you have people on social media using their status to push it, cherry picking from science and misinterpretating studies to match their agenda.

I know there's a lot of junk food and that is a big problem all round anyone's health

Yep, and when people cut out the junk they lose lots of weight and start feeling better and put it down to the foods they are eating rather than the fact that they are eating less and are thus on a calorie restriction.

Well I think this sums it up pretty accurately

You are correct; there are no "essential" carbohydrates, meaning the body can synthesize glucose (the primary fuel source for cells) from other sources like protein and fat, so dietary carbohydrates are not strictly necessary for survival.

We can thrive an survive fine without carbs as there not essential, our body's can produce glucose from protein an fat,so that's that put to bed.

What has that got to do with the price of bacon and the fact that eating lots of meat with no fibre is bad for you?

You could survive on double cheeseburgers from McDonald's, it doesn't mean they are good for you or optimal.

But the science says different, there's no essential carbs, facts are facts the body produces glucose from fat an protein mate.

You couldn't survive on McDonald's you'd get sick an fat an die,a few boys have tried it for a test an got fat an unhealthy in the space of two weeks

Well you would survive then, just like you'd survive on lots of saturated fat until your arteries clogged up and you died from a clutcher.
