This type of Spaniel/Beddy /Whippet hybrid, is real handy for the Bushing/Mouching style of hunting,...almost boundless, non-stop hunting and amazing energy,...not much gets past that exceptional nose

This is a cross I'd much prefer

depends how they throw, this first cross has thrown more to Bedlington, never had a lot of pace but enough to get by. she's 8 now and has lost what bit she had, her strength has always been hunting, m

Is there much difference between the half cross and reverse 3/4?

My old f1 beddy whippet threw the same more to the beddy side of things she was 17tts didn’t really have any pace sort of like just one gear and it wasn’t particularly fast but a handy enough bitch to have about as we used to keep a mixed bag of dogs on our little team for different jobs these little slower type Lurchers always proved a asset to the team when out day walking/ bushing or pushing woodland they always got stuff moving and handy over a warren while ferreting

3/4beddy terrier 1/4 whippet would be small and slow I wasn’t trying to be smart or out just giving a honest opinion nothing nasty meant by it

And who'd want 3/4 of the blood to come from a breed that very very rarely does any serious type of work these days anyway

All depends what you want out of a dog and what your doing?.....each to their own id say.

Surely if you want to breed working dogs then whatever breeds you are using should be doing what that breed was origionally bred for.Isn't the whole reason of using terrier blood in a lurcher program to get the toughness/gameness from the terrier?I honestly can't see any Bedlingtons being worked in a way that will test any kind of heart they have these days.
