I picked my wife’s cousin up from the airport yesterday, he’s a Reform UK member and of course we discussed the ongoing situation.

He said there are many policy differences between Lowe and the rest of the hierarchy, but the tipping point is that Lowe wanted Farage to state publicly that Reform would start mass, forced deportations of millions of immigrants and to make it official policy.

Farage and the rest of the leadership thought this would lead to a drop in the polls and memberships, and it would look far right , even Fascist to many voters.

Lowe then went public , attacking Farage, it could only end one way, with the removal of the whip from Lowe.

Maybe more to it, who knows ?

Cheers.

Could work the other way.   Both membership and poll ratings could increase.  I would have thought deportations for illegals was what any reform voter would be looking for.  It would seem now they're only slightly to the right of the tories. Waste of time.

It doesn’t mean that Farage disagrees with Lowe, it’s politics, not a discussion in the pub.

Get into power THEN. start deportations.

Reform is polling around 25-28% depending on the poll, they need around 35% for an outright majority to form a government. Anything less would mean a hung parliament and a coalition between Reform and the Tories, or a coalition between Labour and the Lib Dems, and that’s no good for the country.

Farage is playing the long game, there’s still 4 1/2 years to go.

Cheers.

Its looking increasingly likely that we have all been duped to believe that Reform are a opposition to the 2 party system when infact they are just a safety valve for the 2 party system, they contain dissenting voters in a safe controllable manner before imploding and sending voters back to the main 2 parties, the system is designed to protect the system first and foremost, its all a con im afraid, i will be removing my consent from now .

I'm starting to think the same mate. Designed to make the masses feel they have an option and keep us in check. We actually now at this point need a party far far to the right of reform to halt this rot. I personally now don't think reform are that party.

It certainly worked for Trump,  we don't need  another party to tow the Westminster line , we need a party that's strong enough to say what needs to be said and be prepared to do what needs to be done, Habib and Lowe both said it how it was and have both gone the same way with the party turning on them , this speaks volumes to me on Reforms actual intentions.

Well if he does agree with Lowe shouldn't he tell him that. Robert Jenrick is starting to sound better than Farage.

He probably has told him, but Lowe wants it to go public and be announced as official policy. I don’t know who’s right or wrong, but Farage is the boss and there’s a thing called “collective responsibility “. If Lowe couldn’t accept it, he should have resigned , not done a two page spread in the Mail, an overtly anti Reform newspaper.

Jenrick ? He reminds me of Groucho Marx; “ I have principles, but if you don’t like them, I have others” ! LOL !

He had 14 years to do what he now espouses, and did nothing !

Cheers.

I actually find it more concerning that Zia Yusuf has managed to buy himself a power position in a UK political party....

I said way back in another thread that Reform was on thin ice with me then , I've been less than impressed with Nigel and the direction that he was taking the party and with his performance in Westminster along with some of the noises coming from Reform...fool me once and all that.

On that note ..Nigel has hinted many times that he might not be in it for the long haul and has hinted at Yusuf succeeding him ,that's when the doubt started to set in with me

Exactly I remember Nigel saying that we have a future leader in Yusuf that was when I lost heart, Nigel’s got form for walking away shame because he is a natural leader and speaker he reads from the heart unlike Starmer with a pile of notes.

I think 4 years is a long time in politics and it would make more sense to sit back and observe before forming knee jerk opinions over the latest headlines from MSM, the likelihood is reform will be a permitted opposition party but only time will tell so be patient before jumping to conclusions Jmho of course

I agree , still the lesser of evils, I expected media to find a load of problems in the ranks but I didn't anticipate infighting at this stage , hopefully they settle down obviously this is getting far more media coverage than the other two parties ....have faith...
