Your not wrong they could take a beatin. We used to get 3 of us on it, hold full revs and jump on the gear lever and wheelie it. Just could nt kill them things. I’ve got a 50 cc classic velosolex with the engine on top of the front wheel for road use, dog in box on back, travel everywhere to peoples piss take. It only goes 20 mph I’d say if that.

Have been since my early 20s mate.The second it even started to go I shaved the lot off.Nothing worse than some c**t trying desperately to hold onto it.Almost as bad as some saddo trying to hold onto a bird when she obviously wants out.I still never wore fancy dress to ride my pop pop though.

I tell you what else always cracked me up.Blokes who dress up in moleskin trousers,flat caps and fell boots with spades propped up in the back of their motor to go to a terrier/lurcher show in July in 80c weather just so everyone knows they go hunting

Speaking of saddo's trying to hold onto a bird.....where i live theres a big long road that for years has been renowned for bikers meeting up on a summer Sunday riding up and down like melts !....theres a little tea hut they all stop at in the middle of the forest i stop and have a cuppa with the dog sometimes have a quick people watch.....the amount of Mr Bean looking no marks getting off them bikes with a bird on the back, forced to take their crash helmet off only to reveal the most wretched bottom of the barrell treacles you've ever seen, yet proudly strutting about like little champs because they've managed to get a girlfriend ......like ive always said " theres someone for everyone "......especially right down the bottom of the barrell there
