Brought me in mind of what they then called the Eildon Race. 2 laps of the Greenyards then up Dingleton hill, across the burn and up the Melrose Eildon. Back down, run through Melrose with another lap of the Greenyards. Was a hell of a race. Jok.

Just watched Cheltenham where Doddie the great won. All proceeds to the Doddie Foundation. Brilliant . Jok.

I’m spewing at the thought of it …. I’m in new estate the built at back of the tip along from Langlee they called in Melrose gait to make it more attractive just switched rooms with the kids other weekend and realised I can see the Eildon’s from the window though i must get a picture for you

Galashiels then. We never got on well. Langlee was, as we saw it, a concrete jungle. Having lived on the farm and then Gattonside where we owned the post office, now pub, it was hard to accept the ‘jungle’. Yes please put up a pic from your new room. Jok.

I’ve just googled the race which I thought was no longer run. Seems I was wrong. Have a look. I think you’ll be surprised. Next one is in June. Some tough characters in this race. Jok.
