Sounds callous but at least you got back in time and got to say goodbye mate. I lost my wee staffie not long back and couldn’t/didn’t get back in time to say my farewells. Worst part of owning dogs is always saying the goodbye Yeah we said the same mate, my lad and eldest girl were here looking after her, the eldest girl took a day off work and had her on the sofa all day on Tuesday, they get spoilt rotten at the end eh! Lol I've buried her at the bottom of the garden, between 2 big pine trees, this afternoon, suns up and birds are singing, seemed nice in a weird way.. poxon 5,770 Posted yesterday at 17:06 Report Share Posted yesterday at 17:06 Never easy saying goodbye mate I’ve always had a few running dogs about me but something I’ve noticed as I’ve got older my self it cuts a little deeper when it’s time to say goodbye to old friends I had my old mate Millie pts a couple of months ago it left our house hold feeling a bit weird every morning I’d get up an say hello to a gret dopey Lurcher sprawled out on the sofa it’s a strange feeling her just not being there it’s a habit I’ve always done gone to say hello to her I just don’t go in the living room first thing in the morning anymore as it’s not the same even had a couple of times I’ve done her a dinner (when I’ve had a drop of drink) I have said to my misses the rough bitch I’ve got now is my last as I’m finding the fair wells difficult now days 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

The field were a fair size and the slips were long. She soon filled a bag for us though! She had a good life.
