Mate, if you went in the gym you'd struggle to lift an olympic bar. Lol It's all muscle memory, if you've had a life on the shovel, like me, you will be a machine on that shovel, go out of the comfort zone and you will be all at sea. I've seen plenty of lads with your body type, we have had a lad called Mad Murdoch who was hyper as feck, couldn't sit still, could graft, but put him in the gym or try and lift really heavy gear he just didn't have the pure strength. It's always refreshing to hear what other people are doing. Digging soil, that's for queers, try digging through ballast and you'd break in half like a tooth pick. Anyone can knock some stone about with the back of a shovel ..come to this year's fishing comp, and we will set up a digging challenge, first man to bury a big blue barrel upright wins, the loser plays maid for the rest of the weekend ...you up for it? I burn more calories when I'm sleeping, than you would on a full shift on the rails

Yeh I bet, banking a digger digging footings burns a lot of calories, and then you wake up. Lol
