SNAP SHOT 194
i personally don't like the tri-pod versions of shooting sticks, i'd recommend getting a lend of some double shooting sticks and practising with them, adjust to chin height and i find leaning the pods slightly back prevents excessive movement........with practise they are good, tri-pods make alot of messing about with i find........ I was kinda thinking by the time ive set up the tripod i would end up being busted by the deer.Ive tried the bipod but am all over the place with them. I guess im going to have to practice in the off season. Thanks for your thoughts and reply Dwight Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
To get good at anything takes practise and plenty of it, i would suggest you start by just standing and seeing how steady you can get while aiming try slightly leaning the sticks back a little, or straight down, i find slightly leaning the sticks back and holding the rifle slightly in the same hand as the sticks works best for me, start at short distances such as 50 yards or so and move out when getting to grips with it...... Thanks for your thoughts and reply Dwight Dwight, I had the same problem with bipods and moved over to a tripod, it is home made by a friend of mine and is made up of 3 adjustable fishing poles with a swivel top, with a fishing pole runner to rest the rifle, on i find it is quick and easy to use and great for both day and night.
