Not too sure how this works ??
my daughter bought Merle kc registered miniature poodle , anyway time goes on and she advertises said dog at stud ,

anyway she gets.  Message asking for Kc details of her dog so prospective enquirer could check if daughters dog was suitable to breed with her bitch ??
forward six weeks daughter gets a letter from kc saying she is advising a none recognised colour poodle and his kc registration was being revoked ?? Anyway daughter being far cleverer than me asks kc   Under the freedom of information act for the name/ details of the GRASS  that put the complainet forward?? Anyway kc shit themselves ,   After numerous messages back and forth it was decided with the kc not being a PLC they didn’t have to disclose said if info , another instance

a friend of mine who hunted a gunpack around The same time as myself.  Again being far cleverer than myself received a letter from local council claiming his Hounds were upsetting locals with there noise / barking, , said friend applied under the freedom of information act and got details of everyone that that complained, guess what  ?? Majority of them were his friends !!!

Slightly off topic, but I’d never seen a Merle poodle in the flesh.
A quick Google and it appears they have been crossed with other breeds that carry the Merle gene, even maybe as far as four generations back .

Learn something everyday !
Cheers.

Even more off topic. Every black wolf owes its colouration from a dog way, way back, which mated with a wolf. The gene has persisted through the generations.

Oh, and you can now buy merle  mice. Hancock is on to it.
