Greyhound racing getting banned

the thing is  once these laws have been passed  ,it will be a miracle if they get overturned ,

How will they enforce a greyhound racing ban ?

They could close the Stadiums, but what about whippet tracks ? Most also have a class for lurchers, what if they put a class on for greyhounds ?

Same with lurcher shows and County Fairs, etc; most have lurcher racing and simulated coursing ; what if they also have classes for greyhounds ?

Will it be legal to race a whippet or lurcher but illegal to race a greyhound at these events ?
Who will police it, more to the point, HOW will they police it ?

Cheers.

forty years ago we could afford to go twice a week and have beer and a meal there mate now it would be a weeks wage to go 2 times in a week  and do that

Brough Park does a deal; £10 for entrance, a pint, pie and peas and race card , once you’ve used this offer you keep getting free entry tickets , meal offers, etc.

It only gets expensive if you gamble .

Cheers.

I remember Brough sending me ten free entry and a pint tickets; it was meant for a group, but there was absolutely nothing stopping you from going in, having your free pint and watch a race, then go out and come back in and do it again and again . The guys on the turnstiles said it was ok and I know a few who did it ! LOL !

I mentioned this a good while ago .

The Labour government in Wales is about to ban greyhound racing, how long before the UK Labour government follow suite ?

The UK Labour government is already getting ready to ban trail hunting.

How long before they follow the Scottish government and ban hunting rabbits with dogs ?

Labour seem to hate the countryside.

Cheers.

Best thing about it were letting them crush our country. Was watching a movie last weekend from 1982 ( Made in Britain ) with Tim Roth. Only a short movie hour an twelve mins. But it's fact people were blind then. Walking around with blinkers on toffs.

Wonder  the racing  greyhound  ad breed will die out in time then.i know show type greyhound a  different type compared  to a racer. I think as  well with few stadium  closing down, and not as.popular as it was  say 60s . The government  prob think , we may as think well ban it then ?   I was watching a programme  few years ago about racing greyhounds  in Oz,  wonder  if that still the same now. Think still popular  in  Spain,  but there cruel twats  there , there leave them to starve in mountains  etc if they injured, or  supposed  to hang them  in trees  .why not shoot the dog, why let suffer?

Yea I know they meant the dogs that was suppose to be a joke about the hare lol, I think there worried about the dogs getting sand rash from running on the sand very quickly and getting sore pads hahaha

This ain't no place for jokes

Not to forget point to point and cross country and of course pigeon racing. I’m not going to be able to organise a ferret race  down the pub either. What about the cheese roll and the Atherstone Ball Game? What are migrants and politicians good at once everything else is banned? Jok.

If you “know someone” it can be good.
Many years back a pal of mine who was an owner/trainer marked my card and I had seven out of eight winners !

But just trying to pick a winner on form is really a “gamble” !

If there’s a few of you, throwing a couple of quid in and picking a colour out of the hat can be fun .

But f**k giving the bookies my hard earned when I know the skullduggery that goes on “at the dogs” ! LOL !

Cheers.
