I might just have to wear some american rugby style tops with lots of padding though to fire one Ive got a LOT to learn but I will do it, mind you - I can honestly say I dont think I will ever be a good shot like you!! I was stunned when you hit that rabbit on the run down a hill (Apart from the fact that you didnt fall!! ) that was some awsome shot! Quote Link to post

LDR 29
well here's my little bit with a few pics, had a blinding day in good company, got to start my stinkers off and see one of them doing well and staying with a rabbit for us to dig down to, although i cant understand how julia always seems to be doing something when the spade comes out..... .......bruce was a bit of a twat, his usual retrieve to hand went out the window and the lap of honour antics started to show...... ....... but he soon seemed to twig that ferret in, meant rabbit out!! although we missed a few (lazyness not putting longnet up) still managed a few good catches for bruce with them bolting across the field..... ..... the sun came out nice in the afternoon and it was hilarious to see a couple of guys ferreting who came across to say hello, who were star struck when they met "that bloke off the dvd's" ..... ......Woodga, the celebrity..... ........the highlight has to be seeing julia perform her first diving rugby tackle to secure a bolting rabit...... Sounds like fecking heaven If we had warrens like that it would be in the thickest horrible gorse or bramlbe patch,, or an unnettable horribe thick hedge.. The best ferrting around here is woodland,, thats as open as your going to get. How many did that warren produce ,, rabbit wise? Quote Link to post
LDR 29
none.... ........we saw one bolt from one hole to another, you'd need about 20 ferrets in there to put any pressure on for a bolt!! even with longnets across it, we had a ferret show up 20 feet along from where it was entered.... ....knocked it on the head!!!
