Lurcher guarding catch.

Recommended Posts

Met a lad today and asked him where his saluki/ grey was. He's usually accompanied by it.

He said it had accidentally pulled a roe and then turned aggressive towards him when he approached. He said he didn't feel safe with it anymore.

Believable? He gets through a lot of lurchers and is not the most reliable of blokes.

Anybody had a similar lurcher or experience?

My old dog was like that at the start. I went to put him in boot one day and he wouldn’t get in . I thought that’s odd so I gave lead good tug and next thing his teeth was up against my nose. I just thrown rabbit on floor and didn’t think.  Nearly took him straight to the vets. We had some big fall outs and he ended up scared of me. I had no choice he was just that sort. We thought world of each other mind and I was actually sad to see him go when time came though slightly relieved . One thing with him no one was ever going to lay a finger on me or the family. He thought world of the kids and was a soppy sod as rule.  Work wise zero reverse gear.

I think all dogs are different temperaments, not down to a certain breeding, my two, the beddywhippet doesn't like it if you raise your voice, were as the whippet thinks get f****d, one can take a bollocking the other can't, it's down to the individual dog.

Yeah, kicked him right in the arse, pretty sure I got his pink balls aswell. He never did it again. Turned out to be the most calm, peaceful animal you’d want around kids and family. I miss him to this day ;)

Were its balls pink after you booted them or before?
