My younger daughter worked in a butchers in a supermarket about 5 years ago, she’d have been 17 at the time, she came home and said one of the older blokes was being a bit creepy and it made he feel uncomfortable. So I said “right, we can do this two ways, I can come in tomorrow and sort it out or you can stand up for yourself and report it and say something” She said “No dad, I’ll sort it out” and she did and the bloke apologised and she was never bothered again. It was a valuable life lesson because she always sticks up for herself without hesitation now, she got followed by a Ukrainian one night when she was out with her pals….went strait to the guards next day and reported it and they went and sorted him out same day….no more bother. I always think these “me too” types suddenly remembering how awful something was 15 years (and a whole lot of wages) after the event cheapen the experience of genuine people…..you can’t take them seriously and by default it makes people not take anything as seriously as they should. jmho My sister and myself had a cheese counter in Rochdale market 1969. It was a good number for us. She ran it .I worked elsewhere. Unfortunately because we are a super good looking family, and she wore a mini skirt, she attracted a lot of unwanted and overwhelming attraction from a group of the Pakistani community. They would surround the counter and put proper customers off. I paid them a visit and unleashed some very anti _social behaviour upon them. It was not difficult as they were tiny first generation, poorly nourished people. Worked a treat. So there are many ways to deal with creeps. My sister refused to speak to me for a time saying I had over reacted. She now thinks I am heroic given the subsequent events in Rochdale and elsewhere. She is now a millionare+ but has not offered me any reimbursement What canya do?

Had to look that up. Wonderful culture you quote. Fackin ell The only thing close to that I've seen is in Greece where an obvious man was dressed as a woman. He had tons of make up on. He was in the back of a pick up ( no doubt provided to every peasant farmer by ghe EU). His group were gypsies. I don't want to know what his life was like. Painful I guess. I think its even easier nowadays, back when we were at school people would talk in awe of millionaires, now it's billionaires, millionaires are commonplace.I watched something the other day,a 20 year old kid who bought Trumps meme coin and made $10,000,000 in a day. Yes if you are in the world of Tik Tok, influencing and crypto currency. But building up a business from zero in the UK is much more difficult. The hoops, the box ticking, the anti newcomer culture is just daft nowadays. My sis has a property portfolio. Brother one was a spark and employed dozens of other sparks. Brother 2 married into big money and has lived off his Mrs money. Agreed a millionaire is nothing now. If you live in the south your house is worth half a million. Millionaires are so old hat.
