Mate, my none-hunting Akita is walked just as much as your hunting dogs and catches about the same, lol, I'd keep quiet about their hunting prowess. I don't know a man yet that could resist the odd slip.

Well why would you say it ? Thinking it's a laughing matter f***ing dog been hit by a motor. One of the worst things a man with a running dog can image. When your on land lamping or day. When you see your dog behind something an there's no calling it back. An you see a motor heading towards it. Had it a few times. So it's not a joking matter. Why not just give the dog a good home then get a lurcher. Instead of all the rubbish talk. Nearly two years now you've spoke about this Akita. Lol. As for this sighthound of mine he's knocking on. Older than Mc dog at 6 an he said other day. When a said he missed some runs. He came back with his dog's 6. That's like you doing a f***ing marathon at age of 60 thinking you'll be able to run like you did in your 20s. Disheartened to f**k when you realise your getting left . I'm not going to put dog under any stress. Because a dog will run till it drops not like us. If a wanted another dog. A could get one tomorrow pal. But them days are done running around like a c**t for a coursing dog trying to keep up. A might get myself a decent lamping dog.

I don't pass dogs on, don't take things to heart, why would I want to get rid of the dog, he's the family dog, he's 5 years old now, not two. I didn't buy the thing to hunt with it, are you for real? If I really wanted a lurcher I'd get one.

He's very fortunate to be alive, to get hit by a van going 50mph and come away with no known broken bones or anything is very lucky, still cost me almost 2k for a few days in the vet.

Show us the vet bill ? I know you you'd have had images up of the poor c**t straight away. Lol. A motor hitting a dog at 50 mph the size of an Akita. If you'd of said a little terrier. Some just get knocked about under the motor miss the wheels an front end and can walk away. I do believe an Akita would be still bed ridden for a few days or weeks even with no bones broken. My old stag hound cross hit her undercarriage on sheep fencing once when jumping over for a rabbit on lamp. The bruising an fluid under the skin was bad. A dog getting hit my a motor at 50 mph must have been bad. You any images ?

It was about £1700 quid in the end because believe it or not they didn't do any X-Rays, they did a few ultrasounds on him because of some internal bleeding but they didn't suspect any broken bones from the rub down they gave him. I never saw the van hit him, our lass and a bystander did, I was a field away and by the time I got there he was staggering about on the roadside. I rushed him to the vets because I feared  massive internal bleeding and shock. He was beat up for a good few days, walking like an old man bless him. Never once cried in pain though, he was as good as gold.

To go further off topic; I once spent six nights in Changi departure lounge.

I was returning from Australia on free tickets and got bumped of in Singapore for a fare paying passenger . I was to tight to buy a ticket so slept in the airport until Emirates said they could get me free seat to Dubai so I jumped at it.

Once in Dubai, they said they could get me to Manchester for free that day or Newcastle the next. I decided on a night in DBX and get the flight the next day.

Changi and DBX; two wonderful airports with plenty to do.

So, seven nights in those airports, or seven nights in Hull ? Hmmm, LOL !

I know what my choice would be !

Absolutely right.....as a younger man i copped for some real good sorts at times but still couldnt get down to it with a darkie.....had the roll about with a gorgeous quarter caste bird one time but just couldnt bring myself to do it,lovely looking bird but just different feel,different smell....wasnt any sort of morals to it she just turned me right off up close......sticking to your own is the most natural thing in the world.
