All around notts , Derby, Birmingham the pedigree staffords are the athletic type not the bully type. Some down Cotswolds too. Sheffield aswel. A know many stafford keepers around them areas. All breeders of black staffords an a few pied bold. Can't beat a nice pied bold you don't see many over here in the uk. Alot in Poland , Netherlands. Some good breeders over seas.

So, can anyone actually put me on to any pups of the type I want.

Staffy, leggy, athletic type.

NOT squat bully type.

Help appreciated.

Your best bet is to ring some breeders and explain the type you want, and ask if they, or any other breeder, will be producing that type.

You'll get squat bull types, and leggy athletic types, up and down the country.

Just a matter of doing a bit of homework.

Good luck with it.  👍

All are show type now mate nasher. You see these rubbing rags fanny licking things that youths are walking about today. These lines I've had for over 20 years maybe more. My bitch now is coming upto 5. I lost my dog at 2 to cancer. So I'm lining her this time she comes in to keep a dog back. I've had a few offers but not keen on the dogs. I've seen a dog over in Netherlands. The bottom image she's from the Nerthlands gifted.

An he doesn't want to go to a breeder who's housing dog an bitch. Most of them are just in it for the money. I f****d years ago with them that had Kimbo. They wasn't the original owners of kimbo. They'd bought him in just to put over there bitch to make money. Came out with loads of shite. When a went back to stoke to see them f****d off they'd moved.

Wouldnt agree with you mate...yours looks a show type thats kept in decent nick thats all.......theres still plenty of authentic old time athletic Staffords around.....not bred for exaggerations and looks but bred for working and athletic ability which brings about a certain athletic " type " look on its own.

The lines of working/athletic Staffords in the Uk are well known its no secret you dont need to go all the way to Holland to find a good example bred from reasonably straight bloodlines going back to the working dogs of England and Ireland......which most of those types over in Holland come from anyway.

Just pure athletes. These bulky types couldn't do the agility these guys do not a chance. Unstoppable at agility. Don't get me wrong a few people do show them. But there put to work. People think that the judges want to see bulky staffords. A dog can be too much muscle mass. An judge won't entertain them. That's why you should always put the dogs to work in agility.

Same with anything over here now they've weakened the lines. Sold too over seas. An they've kept true to the breed. You've got young idiots putting owt over there bitches. People letting there dogs go over anything that hip an eye tested for the money. Not many lines are close any more. This woman a know in Netherlands. Are true to the breed an athletes. It's just she know that if her blood comes over here an pups go as show dogs she's going to have some competition lol. My name will be on the paper work as the breeder. 🤣🤣 An that's how it should be im glad she's like that. An that we may have the UK back in the driving seat. Because Poland an Netherlands are up there now. Many European countries are. We've sold it out for money greed.

Again i just dont agree.....there are better Staffords in the Uk than probably anywhere else in Europe but you're not going to find them paraded down The Rose & Crown.....the types you are talking about being bred are shitty street Staffs bred by kids and idiots im talking about genuine working dogmen who have put their heart and souls into preserving some of these lines.......i was always a Pit Bull man myself and never really had much time for Staffords but im getting on a bit now and didnt want all the hassle that comes with Pit Bulls so got onto a few chaps i knew from Pit Bulls years ago and was put onto a nice litter of straight bred good old time working dogs and im happy to have got what i expected....but i wouldnt of expected much if id put the word out down the local Lidl

I had a number of chats with the Dutchman who has the Quinlent prefix runs the Dutch Athletic Staffords show or club whatever it is....he bred some nice examples but they was all a bit small and again still just show type even though they was in nice condition.....so i beg to differ, the Staffords in Europe are still inferior on the whole to the Uk .....or else why did/do the Dutch etc import Uk dogs in the first place 😉
