Mate, they're not the same dogs, the KC Staff was developed by fanciers, yes, many dogs were still matched, but they are not the true representative of our old pit dogs, the APBT is. 3 Quote Link to post

Mines a kc dog but still she's game as f**k. Got a nose that could sniff a diamond up a ***** arsehole . She doesn't stop when out. When running cover if there's no gap she'll make a gap. Marks up. Just a clever dog. 1 Quote Link to post

There's game and there's game mate. But think about it, they are one of the closest related breeds to the out and out out dogs so it's of no surprise that many were still game and could scrap. I've never bought the idea of the Staffordshire Bull Terrier being the oldest of the bull breeds, form always follows function, not the other way around. The APBT is the true representative of the Pit Dogs of the British Isles. 1 Quote Link to post

The APBT is the true representative of the Pit Dogs of the British Isles. Both breeds by the sounds can be traced back to early 1800s. So both breeds produced at around the same time mate. fred90 3,337
year's ago 70s maybe whippet x bull was popular around here, they always used Stafford Bull blood, which seemed to be a smaller leaner dog than today's Stafford, made cracking little lurchers. 3 Quote Link to post
