This was my first ever running dog Jess. Picked her up at 8 weeks old and I clueless about lurchers or hunting.. she has taught me a lot these past 8 years, I was 16 when I got her and just wanted to

My son had a wee Plummer for the rats, was a good wee dog for them, if I was gonna do lots a rats regularly then I’d get another one, saw a few parts ratting an the aye decent, most terriers will do i

My first running dog was a non-ped whippet back in the 60’s. Raced and hunted and I got the bug ! Had five or six whippets then moved on to lurchers, latest one is a first x deer

Nowhere near as much as I used to but still like a walk out local, daytime or with the lamp.

As walloper said, re sucking eggs,  if you're not already doing it, get some raw green tripe down her neck a few times a week.

Will do the her the world of good.

Sorry if I’m telling you how to suck eggs pal, but if you still got that ole bitch then maybe look into getting her a magbox an add some decent oil to her feed 👍

She gets oily fish mixed in with her food 2 times a week.. never heard of a magbox before. I’ll have a look thanks pal

Lots will disagree with me here but tripe is shite pal, throw that manky smelly shite over a hedge for a fox haha it’s no nutritional value whatsoever, stick to decent beef with a fair bit fat on it, and break it up with chicken an fish an odd but lamb if you can get it, but seriously I’d rather feed Chappie out a tin than tripe haha

Good stuff mate and it would eat itself to death if it could I feed her as much as I can without it making it self sick. She’s only little whippet cross but a greedy little shit haha. And I’ve been looking to get a terrier maybe next year I like the patterdales myself for the ratting. Good luck with ur pup.
