Popular Post Thecooksta1 61
This was my first ever running dog Jess. Picked her up at 8 weeks old and I clueless about lurchers or hunting.. she has taught me a lot these past 8 years, I was 16 when I got her and just wanted to walk and hunt all the time . Safe to say she done as well as she could with little training. She is a collie x collie whippet greyhound and in her prime a bit of a machine but now all them stupidly long walks when she was too young are catching up with her and she’s abit stiff after a nights lamping but still puts a shift in. Lucky she is a durable cross I think we all probably started out like this. Any pics of your first running dogs? atb cookie 23 Quote Link to post

chartpolski 24,428
My first running dog was a non-ped whippet back in the 60’s. Raced and hunted and I got the bug ! Had five or six whippets then moved on to lurchers, latest one is a first x deer/grey bitch , from one extreme to the other ! I’ve had most pures and crosses, some good , some not, but had fun with them all. Might end up back with a whippet before it’s to late. Cheers. Edited February 4 by chartpolski 11 Quote Link to post

Already waiting for 1976 to be mentioned. Edited February 4 by shaaark 4 1 Quote Link to post
