Francie, 2,320
I'm insulating my shed,an I was wondering shall I go Kingsland sheet or spray foam? 2 inch gap which will be boarded over Any suggestions?
gnipper 6,523
I'd use the sheet stuff myself the spray stuff would need trimming back to overboard it. One of my old kennels had sheet polystyrene in which a lot cheaper than kingspan and did the job.

Thank you gripper,I seen lads spray foaming in between floor joists, they had an old board an when they sprayed they put the board down until it spread,no wastage, was thinking of doing the same, tho I must check the polystyrene out
gnipper 6,523
I've seen them doing the spray too mate but I've never seen the price of it. I'm not sure how they work the thermal rating of different insulation out but their can't be much difference between them if its just a shed your after doing. Will you be heating the shed?

Qbgrey 4,138
Having celotex with air gap on roof side is good but you need vented soffit/ badge/ fascia or you won’t get air flow. Same with a floor it needs venting
Goly 1,043
Stay away from that foam, I nearly got fooled in to having it in the loft, kingspan every time.

Francie, 2,320
So does yous not reckon to keep the sides of the shed air tight between shed wall insulation then plywood,or is just the roof to leave a gap?
