You can't blame them can you, but our system clearly isn't working. Is it true to assume that our trained doctors are moving abroad for more money? If so, it's no different to what the Indian's and Pakistani's are doing! The NHS won't see it as a problem if standards are the same?

My youngest son is a doctor,he doesn't live in the UK.Anyone with half a brain follows cash and a better life,i have been saying for the last 10 years or so brits need to train more professionals.

I don't know,but india/africa has thousands of applicants for any UK job you can name,including PM,it's going to get a whole lot tougher out there,more competition as the population swells,there's no getting better in this scenario.

What's the situation with British doctors? Is it a case of a shortage of university courses or are they all moving abroad for more money once fully qualified?

There was an article in the British medical journal earlier this year,a third of newly qualified docs want to move abroad for better pay/lifestyle,that's a third of newly qualified,it increases as time progresses,Australia did a brain drain ad for brit medical staff not so long ago.

What can be done, the NHS don't really care if they are getting cheaper labour from India, Pakistan, especially when they go through the same training and gain the same or equivalent qualifications.
