Was a first for us Yeah used to bolt the odd one on a river bank on the Dart. Most surprising was a burrow that had holes coming out of the base of an old tree and about six came out then the ferret with a mouth full of fur. Holes in trees etc if the dog marked and it looked safe to put ferret in Iv seen people bolt them from tree roots and holes in trees with ferrets ect but never had one to ground in a rabbit warren, tbf the dogs were marking it alot more excitedly than they normally would, I wonder if on our approach the dogs put it to ground they usually go ahead of us and mark warrens, shame they didn't catch it 1 Quote Link to post
