jukel123 8,434
Red warning for areas of the UK. I've been tying whatever I can down. I'm very exposed as I live near the shore. Got the generator primed and checked my emergency heating and cooking gear. Pissing down now, + mph winds to follow. Hold on to your hats and stay safe gents.

chartpolski 24,209
I’m sure I’m not just being nostalgic or looking back through rose tinted glasses, but I’m sure I remember walking to school in blizzards, through 18” of snow in the 50’s and 60’s on a regular yearly basis. I can’t remember the schools being closed or yellow and red warnings. This winter we’ve had in my area two separate nights with a dusting of snow that had disappeared by the evening , but we are being bombarded with warnings and advice; don’t travel, wrap up warm, etc. Cheers.
