Hi, looking for a dog gps, needs 3 collars ideally, currently looking at the garmin, not sure if I can get away with a garmin price wise at the moment as just moving house, can anyone give any opinions on the dogtra or any others? Thanks

Recently bought the path finder 2 mini very impressive.
uses an app on your phone with ton features which connects via blue tooth to receiver round your neck. That talks to collar. No signal issues for me and love it.

Do you mean the reactive that  uses mobile signal? I had one then they ok but around here constantly dropping off signal. With the radio ones it’s not really an issue. Just an outlay at the start though. Nice to have mind.

what else have you tried?

Iv seen boys using sport dog  or dog trek both seem cheap and crap , we lost the dogs and were making there way back only the garmin could find where they’d been and we’d found what they had caught

Dogtra are good quality.  She went fair old way one night through woods and down a valley and I could see her in real time and speed she was going. I could also have retraced her steps if needed. The app uses little battery on your phone. Plus the thing to remember is it connects to your receiver on your neck so it’s right next to it. Could also use any old phone long as it supports the app. Also has a ecollar if that’s your thing. Plus the collar has a little light built in which you can turn on remotely if dogs heading for road. Bright as fook no idea how they managed that.  For under 500 can’t fault it. I couldn’t stretch to garmin.
Think I should be on commission :)

Had an old dogtra ecollar once and it was ancient but solid as a rock. Wouldn’t use it for years but if I ever did need it all ways worked spot on.

garmin are meant to be best which I am sure they are but also pricey unfortunately.
