I am not totally carb free, but do run low carb. Bread very occasionally. Sweet spuds now and then. And I do like my veggies but try to have low carb ones. If i have a curry I use cauliflower rice instead of rice and it's ok mixed in a ruby. I think a sensible diet and everything in moderation. Odd takeaway once a blue moon is fine , just not 3 a week ect. I genuinely feel a lot better in myself eating lower carb diet. As bread wraps pasta rice ect all make me feel bloated. My only vice is I do like a drink, I would like to curb that ideally . Did the same mate with the carnivore diet and weight dropped off me at an alarming rate but at the same time lowered my alcohol intake especially during the summer months as before i would always have a few cans of lager or that fruit cider every day of the week especially after getting home from work. I have started eating a few carbs now and my weight has gone from 11 an half stone to 12 that i feel better with though i hope my sugar level has not rose with the slight weight gain. I haven't drunk alcohol since boxing day as the brother in law got me a decent bottle of red for Christmas and after drinking only half a bottle really felt out of sorts for a few day's after so decided to knock drinking in the head altogether and feel alot better for it. 8

That's good stuff mate well done. It's the drinking that lets me down, I train and watch my diet 80/20 . But I do drink most nights, not excessively . Like sat night I add 3 cans and 3 cans last night. That's nothing compared to some I know that drink 2 bottles of wine a night and others easy 10 cans a night . My problem is and it stems back to my childhood is, I find it very hard to relax or chill or unwind. I can't sit still for 2 mins. My minds racing and I need to be doing stuff. I know it's no excuse , but a few beers and I can relax and watch a film ect. Other wise I would find it hard to watch the box.

Move more, if your using more energy than your eating the body will naturally break down store fat to replace the energy its not getting from food. My diet was, 2 slices of wholemeal toast and butter for breakfast, an wholemeal sandwich for lunch. Tuna and sweetcorn, Cheese and onion or whatever then for tea it could be a full English or steak, pork with veg even fried rice dishes.

Agree on the move more as I don't think it was only my change in diet that reduced my weight loss and feeling better especially regarding my sciatica flare ups. The job i do in a parcel sortation warehouse where we are under pressure to sort parcels in a given time scale so the trunking goes out on time and with having a good walk in the mornings before I start work in the afternoon it's rare I do under 30 thousand steps in a working week also I would have a decent meal at 10 at night followed by a few cans that I don't do any more plus one of my vices was chocolate that I would snack on at work that I have now swapped for plain nuts.

Though i won't lie their is mornings i could murder half a packet of McVities chocolate digestives with my morning coffee or a multi pack of galaxy ripple's at work.
