philpot 5,020
You have become an old TACKLE TART Jimmy although as you know I could not argue with your choice................ I think the Verminator has the edge on this evidence. Have you tried the JSB RS pellets in the .22 because they are worth trying, Mark, Mitch and myself all found at sub 12 they were better than the average 15-16gr pellets. You also need to test the JTS pellets which are superb in FX barels as my pal Chris found out in his two DRS rifles plus my Wildcat fac was seriously good as well. Extreme Hunter Donator 5,005 6,385 posts Location:North Lincs Posted November 12, 2024 My pal phoned the other day to say he had bought some of these pellets after seeing rave reviews on the web / youtube so we went to our local rfd who has a 25mt indoor range as part of the shop. My pal had managed to get both .177 and .22 so he could try his two FX DRS rifles, in short the outcome was excellent with one hole groups in both cals. I had taken my fairly recent purchase BSA Ultra .22 and my FX Wildcat .22 fac to try them in. The Ultra was not a roaring success however and compared to the AA Field pellets they were not as tight a group, 20mm at 25mt so not good enough for me but bear in mind that I had not cleaned the barrel before the test although it had shot no more than perhaps 250 rounds since cleaning but there it is. Next up the Wildcat fac which was a different kettle of fish altogether with very tight one holers and well worth taking out to 35mt for normal zero distance which I will do in a few days depending on weather. The JTS pellets are without doubt the cleanest pellets I have come across with NO swarf on either the pellet nor in the tin, they are polished in appearance with not a single defect to any of the pellet skirts. The tins contain 250 pellets and various head sizes are available although the test tins to do not show what head size it is. Our tins I think came from Ramsbottoms at £14 per tin however I have found them for sale by Vector Air in Newark for £8.50 or less with multi tin purchases. WE have ordered 10 tins for further field testing so fingers crossed. The tin states they are made in China and distruted by Xisico / JTS Airguns in the USA. JTS Dead Centre Domed 5.5mm (.22) Pellets (x250) | Vector Air WWW.VECTOR-AIR.CO.UK JTS Airguns is officially entering the air gun ammunition market with its new Dead Center Pellet line in .22 calibre. JTS has spent nearly 2 years developing this pellet line... Phil Quote Phil Quote Link to post
