Remember an incident years ago wile night poaching on the Normanby estate and we had to get back to safety by crossing a single tarmac road and the old boy a one Derick Rawson a well known poacher from the Barnsley area who had served time in the 70s due to an incident on the Sandbeck estate nr Maltby told us to take our wellingtons off to cross the road as he claimed keeper's would be looking for muddy footprints on the tarmac to see if we had crossed the road wile they drove slowly up and down and what started this incident off was when we heard a muffled bark further in the wood where old Derick recond a keeper was holding the dog waiting for us and probably had his hand around it's mouth so as not to alert us before we walked into an ambush. 5 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
