I didn’t say that, you and Jukel said other people should be made poorer and I asked why and neither of you could explain. We have an ever ageing population and the percentage of the population that is earning is shrinking. I've brought up mandatory euthanasia before, perhaps it's time to discuss this? Goly 441 Posted Saturday at 11:06 Report Share Posted Saturday at 11:06 Hypothetical here, are you happy to see the retirement age keep rising, that much so you work until you drop or would you accept working until 40-50 in exchange for 20-30 years of happy retirement before being put down at 70? Big stab in the dark though mate, emigrating in the off chance that you'll find a pest control job?

I didn’t say the mega rich shouldn’t bear more of the brunt. I say if you reach a point when they feel they are paying to much, they up sticks and leave and we get less tax revenue, more unemployment. Labour are not business friendly, they will push to far, just like raising the windfall tax on North Sea oil profits is driving investors away. Getting the tax loopholes closed would bring in more revenue than raising tax rates to an unsustainable level. Cheers.

What is the cut off point ? You are probably mega rich compared to a single mum with 3 kids to bring up, maybe you should be paying a lot more….what do you think ? Or is it only “other people” ……these so called “mega rich” ? What’s the number ? 100,000? 250,000? 120,000,000 ? a billion ? My mates firm turns 120 million a year, do you know what their margin is?……between 1 & 2 % ! My pal who is a director pays about £200,000 a year in personal tax ! He employs 700 people, they all pay tax ! What extra exactly do you want ? lol

That link I shared stated that they need to crack down on loopholes and that limited company fraud is the biggest tax fraud in the country.
