You are probably mega rich compared to a single mum with 3 kids to bring up, maybe you should be paying a lot more….what do you think ? Or is it only “other people” ……these so called “mega rich” ? What’s the number ? 100,000? 250,000? 120,000,000 ? a billion ? My mates firm turns 120 million a year, do you know what their margin is?……between 1 & 2 % ! My pal who is a director pays about £200,000 a year in personal tax ! He employs 700 people, they all pay tax ! What extra exactly do you want ? lol I'm not an economist, I don't know the figures, that would be their job to work out the cut off point. An interesting fact, when the state pension was introduced, there were ten people working for every person collecting it, now it's something like 2.5 and it's only going to get worse. That link I shared stated that they need to crack down on loopholes and that limited company fraud is the biggest tax fraud in the country. Exactly ! Crackdown on the fraud and loopholes; don’t raise taxes to an unacceptable limit and deter investment and expansion. As for the oil windfall tax of, I think it is 95%, but I could be wrong, a major oil company recently pulled out of the North Sea and invested in the Mexican gulf because it simply wasn’t profitable anymore. So, lost tax revenue, lost jobs . Cheers.

At least Jukel is honest about his opinions. The irony, ok, so now you agree taxes are essential, but tax brings no benefits, make your mind up, or have you figured the cut off point where they become a burden, what figures are you talking? Crack on, but you do realise that many of these people exploiting these loopholes are Bob the Builder on the end house, that will really win the working man over. So, where is the cut-off, where do they go from being essential to being a burden of no benefit? Your whole arguement is confused.

No, just saying uncomfortable truths that you and others don't like to hear. Mate, you must be naive to deny that limited company working is abused by the working class just as much as it is by the rich. You crack down on that, you hurt tens of thousands of working class households.

It was to cull possum, you were paid by tail count, but it was for setting 1080 poison bait stations in the forestry A great book to read about deer, pig , goat cullers in NZ is “A Good Keen Man”, by Barry Crump.
