We have to have taxes, it’s how they are spent I object to. I remember when VAT was introduced at the behest of the EU. We were told “ don’t worry , it’s a tax on luxury goods, only milliona

In reply to a post of mine, you said you didn’t remember saying something. I showed you where you said it , yet you’re obfuscating and deflecting instead of just saying I was right; you did say EXACTLY what I said you said. My last reply on this, as the Interviewer would say;” I’ll let the viewers judge and make their own minds up “ ! LOL !

Cheers.

I don't think anybody gives a f**k mate. I will continue to like your posts when I see fit and disagree with your posts when I see fit. You can sulkily continue to ignore my posts. Grudges eat people up mate. Let it go.

No sulks or grudges here, you said you couldn’t remember saying something that I quoted you as saying. I provided indisputable proof that you DID say it.

Its as easy as that. Maybe you couldn’t remember saying it, but when confronted with the truth maybe holding your hands up would have been the best option.

Cheers.

I did not remember  saying it .  I said it. I also wrote this would be a nightmare situation.

Tell you what I'll hold my hands up if you hold your hands up and write that there was no cage bird ban or dog racing ban in Labour's  manifesto and that the UK is not going to run short of food  because of militant farmers. And further that there is no gas shortage . You wrote it. You retract it.

Complete nonsense. You’re in denial.

At a Labour manifesto meeting banning cage birds and greyhound racing was discussed but not implemented,

I’ve never said we are going to run short of food , I said I was watching farmers tractors  circling a food supply facility.

It is widely reported in all media that we were down to one weeks gas supply and have had to pay 50 times the price to import gas from Holland to prevent blackouts

you on the other hand told a blatant lie and when confronted with the indisputable evidence you DID say it , you won’t admit it.
Im going at this like a dog with a bone as you inferred I was a liar, I am not and resent the implication.

Deflect and obfuscate as much as you want, it’s all there to be seen.
Cheers.

You are not a liar. You're very silly. By your own admission your go _to news channel is GB news which is continually being pulled up by Of com. You are heavily influenced by their news content  and imo, you bat for the wrong side as a result.

Bit of digression on the thread but a lot of British people have Stockholm Syndrome when they move…..at least that’s what I have noticed here.

They go to pieces if they don’t have a million rules and regulations to follow and some official treating them like shit……absolutely true story, seen it a few times now.

If the UK wasn’t the shit hole it is, I would be moving back, buying a home and using it as my main base. Because my work is remote, I can live anywhere I want. I would split my time between Blighty, Spain and another country (probably Thailand or Vietnam). Mainly to avoid paying any taxes lol but Blighty IS my home and I pine for her always. Every now and then (usually early spring or late autumn) I’ll catch a smell in the air here and I’m transported home to the British countryside.
