Or are our governments frightened to death to tax the feck out of big businesses like they do in another developed countries in the EU?

See, this is the thing, in all these conversations it’s always “tax the big business/billionaire/farmer (delete as applicable)….”

In fact it’s tax anyone who has a bit more than us……but that ain’t the reality mate.

Fair enough if you could see your nation getting better because of it….but do you see that ?

Can you hand on heart say “If the farmer down the road looses a big chunk of his life’s work I trust politicians to use that money to make my life better” ?……I think we all know the answer to that.

Nah, the reality is, the small business like a little farm shop near my old town has to find £400 a week more out of thin air (true story from the last budget) and his car is still going to get stolen and his kid is still going to have to live in a 3rd world toilet ! …….thats reality mate.

What has anything anyone has seen in the last 30 years that leads them to the conclusion that politicians use more money to make their life better ?……it ludicrous mate !

People use this rather euphemistic term “the rich firms”……but these so called “rich firms” are lads on here with a little firm, working their bollocks off….they are lads like you and me !

The farmer is a lad like you and me, so was his grandad and his grandad before him……I don’t care if you have more, I think we should both be paying less !

You’re paying the interest now !…..so will your kids…..and so will their grandkids !

Some folk look at these charlatans burning ordinary peoples money like it’s nothing and say “Oh, if only that small section over there paid a lot more we would get to see some benefit”

Blokes like me say “EVERYONE should be paying way less because they can’t be trusted with it and they only use it to abuse us with anyway”

Don’t take my word for it, the tax take has never been higher and look what’s happening outside your window !

Here’s a thing, they didn’t “invest it”…..they had a carve up with the investment banks, the banks gave them the money to piss away on pet projects and buying votes and banks got the populations life’s work in return.

Literally sold their own people into a life of slavery, and that’s not being dramatic, it’s just true.

That's why the proposition that if “SOMEONE ELSE” just gave them more money, our life would improve….it wouldn’t, it’s nonsense.

I simply don’t agree with this “we should all be equal” Labour/Socialist/Communist nonsense.

I don’t want to be equal to the lazy bloke who isn’t interested in working for a living or bettering his circumstances.

Im not clever enough to be an entrepreneur or brave enough to risk everything to start up a business but I don’t despise the success of people who do.

Of course we have to support the sick, the old, the disadvantaged , but to make everyone “equal “ inevitably means “levelling down”.

Lets not forget, Big Business and the rich pay the majority of tax, something like the top 10% pay 90% of the tax, they also employ people.

Tax the rich ‘till the pips squeak” , as someone once suggested doesn’t work, they simply move their assets abroad or outsource there production.

I don’t know the answers, but I like the old saying “charity begins at home” and we should stop borrowing money to give away to people and countries that hate us. It won’t make them suddenly like us more, it makes the see is as a soft touch and come back with their hands out asking for more..

Cheers.

I'm not talking about the farmer or the small time trader, I'm talking about multinational corporations, the abuse of limited liability within our economy, the mega rich who exploit tax havens, etc.

Yeah, it was great under the Tories in the 80's and 90's, especially in villages like mine, one would think they had our best interests at heart, what with shutting down our industries and leaving thousands in search of jobs, the good old days. You clearly weren't blessed with any brains at all. Lol
