Banana Republic ?

Recommended Posts

Half of the councils that were due to hold local elections in May have cancelled them for at least three years .

Councils where the polls say Reform were due to be very successful.

Warnings of a gas shortage and possible power outages in the middle of the coldest part of the year.

Farmers, right now, circling food distribution centres with tractors threatening to disrupt food supplies.

God forbid that pensioners start to die of cold and hunger……

What is happening to my country ?

Cheers.

We have to have taxes, it’s how they are spent I object to. I remember when VAT was introduced at the behest of the EU. We were told “ don’t worry , it’s a tax on luxury goods, only milliona

Canada incoming?

When I retired 21 years ago, I could have gone to live anywhere; I have family in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa, Cyprus , the Middle East, but I chose to come home because my aging parents were still alive.

Im to old to think about a major relocation now, I did that when I was in my 20’s and don’t regret a minute of it.

I fear for the prospects of the young in this country.

Cheers.

Can they legally do that? The councils, as in postpone locals because they will obviously lose? Surely that has to be challenged by Reform and demanded by the population.

Fuuck me, I don’t even want to visit anymore. Anybody fancy a free holiday? Just fetch me a couple of pups over and I’ll pay for the trip

Absolutely !…….its old hat to say but I wouldn’t want to be young, starting out or starting a business over there now…..what’s the point ?

My oldest daughter bought her first house last year, a pretty good part of the U.K. (Northern Ireland)…..she was sick of it within 3 months. !

Nothing worked in healthcare, getting your bins collected, never any money left (out of two very good salaries).

Lovely house in a decent area, but still the high street felt a bit dodgy with beggars and odd balls etc etc

She sold it a week before Christmas, she said she is never going back to the U.K. and dont know why anyone would…..she is 22 !

I loved my country, started out at 14 on the knocker selling home goods we used to buy from the wholesalers.

Grew up around duckers and divers and go getters.

Always felt a bloke could get ahead if he just grafted hard enough..but I felt that changing and now I don’t get that vibe at all.

Meanwhile I watched as everything just went more and more to shit and blokes like me were abused more by the state.

Youll kill your self grafting to stand still or go backwards while the state burns everything to the ground….f**k that, I’m not a clever man but I ain’t a moron ….i wasn’t sticking around for that and why should the young ?

All the young can look forward too is a lifetime devoted to paying other people while their nation turns to a 3rd world hell hole outside their window !
Abuse, abuse and some more abuse !

It’s catastrophic and heartbreaking….
