Pretty simple really juke,they have those names because the Romans ruled the place,an the Greek language was also prevalent,no conspiracy mate.

Probably just the anglicised versions of their Aramaic or Greek names, as Francie says.

We wanted a name for our grandson that was the same phonetically in English and Arabic, and evidently there are only two, Adam and Zachariah……..We didn’t call him Zachariah ! LOL !

I have to admit I respect anyone's right to believe their religion be it the Catholic church of England johova witnesses born again christians. One religion i don't have any respect for is Islam.
