Dry January

Recommended Posts

Well, that didn't last long!!  😄.

Put up a new wall clock and new wall mirror in the living room, with the 'help' of my Mrs.

I won't go in to too much detail, but kin el, throw me about!!

Just ordered some cans of Badger Tangled foot, to ease my tension!!  Lol

Anyone else 'lucky' enough to have their mrs 'help them out' with a couple of small DIY projects?

Funny how attitudes change. I once saw my dad cook, and that was when my mam was in labour with my kid sister. I never saw him even put coal on the fire. If he wanted  a cup of tea ( in his case a pin

Every evening I ask my wife, what is the itinerary for tomorrow pet ? Before she answers I tell her not to forget that I’ll be out at first light with the dogs, then home for breakfast, then I’ll

As much as I love Mrs Stav I can not work with her or have her anywhere near me when I’m doing any DIY task, I’d planned to start stripping wallpaper and painting today before the new carpet, sofa and furniture turns up in a few weeks, but she informed me she was working from home today, so I’ve sat in my chair and watched sh*te on the box all day, I’ll make a start on my big list of jobs tomorrow when she’s out the house

I wouldn't ever work with the wife on DIY, it normally starts with her making an illogical suggestion me pointing it out her having a huff and me cracking on, I don't do decorating though and she can paint whatever she wants whatever colour, we're more of a tag team, she generally starts a job makes it so dangerous that I then have to pull my finger out or be liable for it, she's a good motivator .

It's not that I don't appreciate her trying to help, and to be honest, I'm quite fond of the little nerk, but my god, sometimes she's enough to make half of the gibberish Gooey writes on here make sense!!  😄

Couple of months back the missus was on about the upstairs toilet , we were stood in kitchen , bog directly above us and she started arguing that it was at the otherside of the house I had to walk away , sometimes it's funny , she wasn't laughing though...

Before I got with the mrs and 'retrained' her, her idea of cheese on toast was this; put a slice of bread in the oven and grill one side, take it out, turn it over, then grate cheese onto the uncooked side, then put it back in the oven under the grill to melt the cheese!!  😄

I'd keep an eye on that one if I was you mate 😄😄😄.

When my mrs made toast , it was warm bread . It took me ages to convince her that it needs to be brown .

Mine is exactly the same as that, if on the rare occasion she does herself some toast she turns the toaster right down so it’s just warm bread, I’ve told her she might as well just wave the bread in front of a light bulb for a bit
