stagaus 1 Posted January 2 Report Share Posted January 2 Have an 11 month old stag/wolfhound trying to get him to chase down game. He only starts to chase down once they start running not while they are still. Even once game is down and still able to move he still isn't keen to finish off.. unsure is he still to young/needs more hunting time under his belt could anyone give me some tips to give a try to possibly help thanks 1 Quote Link to post

Aussie Whip 4,127 Posted January 4 Report Share Posted January 4 I had a big staghound from just roo dogs and he didn't start chasing until 18 months, even though having him out daily in the bush sighting game. He ended up a good dog but be patient with these types, they take ages sometimes to start but the wait is worth it. 1 Quote Link to post
