The Tories were in power for how long, where was their enquiry? They rejected a request from Oldham council FFS. As for an enquiry, what use are them? How many people were brought to justice for Hillsborough, Grenfell, Post Office, infected blood, Bloody Sunday? I bet you can count them on one hand. The establishment come out smelling of roses.

I honestly think there a waste of time tbh and they only tell us what most of us don't already know. Same as those calling for an Orgreave inquiry into how South Yorkshire police acted and handled the situation in the miners strike.

Part of the problem with the riots was that people perceived that asylum seekers were being treated better than they were.

Nobody ever asks why are British people are treated so badly.  We think  it's normal to be dumped on by the government.

The Labour health minister has just been on saying he doesn’t want a inquiry,(I wonder why ?), he says he wants stronger laws.

Yes, we all want stronger laws to deal with child rapists, but we want an inquiry to find out which MP’s , Councillors, Police Chiefs, Social Services managers were complicit in the cover up in the name of “social harmony” !

Somehow I feel there will be a cover up of the cover up !

Cheers.

Kind of agree, the boat people are the low hanging fruit. Do people understand that asylum seekers coming across the Channel account for around 3% of the people who immigrated to this country in 2023? It's all a smokescreen, we have much bigger problems regarding immigration and national security if that's the problem that we agree needs solving.

We know full well that a blind eye was turned, that these girls were failed, what else is there to ask? As I pointed out, if you're looking for justice, good luck, the establishment looks after their own. And, this is not just a Labour problem is it, where was the Tory enquiries, it's no good asking for them now when you had 14 years in power. Both parties are as bad as each other.

I think calling for an enquiry is more about an acknowledgement of the perpetrators of these crimes and how their cultures differ from ours. We all know the Tories covered it up and Labour will do the same but there is a sense that it can now be highlighted without the risk of being branded a racist and having your life ruined. That for me is a move forward in sorting not just this issue but others involving these communities and the lack of cultural integration.

Sweden has seen a huge drop in asylum applications due to their crackdown and are publicly blaming lack of integration by immigrants for their crackdown.

It would be better to have an enquiry about what officials WERE NOT involved in covering up these reality’s across the nations……fact is, the reality of the 3rd world and it’s effects on Britain and Europe is being covered up every minute of every day.
