The best setups I've seen have been indoor with hard floors like tiles or hospital flooring whatever it's called. No drains just mopped.

Do people not keep dogs in a routine like house dogs, so they empty on walks etc

if you out day night different times different dogs a set routine isn’t always possible there going to piss and shit in there run mate but i agree  i prefer most indoor better winter by a mile

No mate they didn’t because the dogs were house trained before I built them mate,so it was an expensive dog bed really but I used to leave the doors open all day from going to work till I locked up at night mate.
