I wonder how many Caucasians over the years have been taken?Indian toilet habits have probably helped many leopard and tigers secure a meal.

Reading in the book i have mentioned mate one Indian village the residents were told not to go for their morning shite as the man-eating tiger was in the area.

Only a few chapters in mate but finding it interesting. I bought it to my kindle.

I just thought sundarbans because of the surroundings,I have seen mugger and gharial in India and Nepal but never saw an actual saltie though they are there.

Jaguars those are, and they hunt caiman which are related to alligators, impressive as hell aren't they.

I think 80% of rural houses nowadays have no toilet, when your on a train journey through India as the sun is rising you see people squatting in fields, easy pickings for leopard and tiger,I even remember reading about village rapists who would assault women on the edge of a village when they went out in the early hours for toilet and ablutions.

Can't imagine the fear victims must go through mate when a big cat decides you are on the menu. The most graphic one i have read about is in one of Ron Thompsons books about a lioness that gets into a game lodge and creates mayhem.

The leopard in the book had 7 victims before it was shot reading about it last night and the author says how it confirmed it was the man eater they had shot due to it being seen on camera traps. Found it interesting how he describes how this man eater as a different body language when it's stalking human beings.
