I remember being about 13 and having a Wembley Vulcan my dad’s old rifle as my first gun and going off down the fields hunting with it and no one battered an eyelid with kids wondering about with airguns . I remember buying airgunner mag in my teens and my dream rifle was the Air Arms Khaminsin a thumbhole stock , also a Wembley Tracker. Never did get my dream gun . But av had all sorts over the years. I remember that vulcan, looks like the Mk2?Airgun development has come on a long way, this brocock makes my old springers look medieval. 1 Quote Link to post

philpot 5,048
I have both a 3lt bottle and a 12lt bottle which suits my needs but the thought of a Hills manual pump gives my old body the shakes let alone actually using one................heart attack to follow. Phil 1 Quote Link to post

It's a beautiful gun tats, far more accurate than any springer I ever owned, silent and incredibly accurate putting pellet on pellet if I point it in the right direction, just a bit sad there are no rabbits on the land i can legally use it. 1 Quote Link to post

Think that's the beauty of the pre charged guns mate the accuracy and the quietness of them though with me not having any permission to shoot one the risk of loosing one after paying that amount puts me off quite a bit. Some years ago wile watching goldfinches on my mates allotment he had one of the early BSA lightnings propped up to shoot any rat's coming out to feed that was only a small spring rifle and I thought at the time if the stock could fold down it would fit in a medium sized rucksack. 2 Quote Link to post

Just hit a cock pheasant full in the chest with 9.5 steel bearing and he flew off as if it didn't even phase him, should have brought the rifle as I could see a portion of his head. Quote Link to post

Nice that , no rabbits round here either. On my way to work early yesterday a roe buck jumped the fence and I ad to swerve and slam my anchors on not to hit it. I had 2 woodys last sun morning before first light. But this morning I left it a little late for the head torch and was pressed for time . So I just had a crappy high shot at a woodie and missed so it was a Les Dawson kinda outing , blankety blank lol 1 Quote Link to post
