I dug for years with them mate but more now for mooching and coming to work with me on rat jobs. But if I’m out and they self enter I will dig to them 4 Quote Link to post
tatsblisters 9,989
Two belters they are. The lad i bought a couple of airguns off recently had a couple of borders and I was took up with them they were very laid back and well behaved as they were house dogs aswell as mooching dogs. When I am ready to get another dog there is a chance of me looking at a border terrier. Quote Link to post

When I am ready to get another dog there is a chance of me looking at a border terrier. They are lively fookers as pups mate and into everything just like any other terrier but they adapt to any life style and can be hard workers to.Ive laughed over the years on here on the border threads saying they don’t graft till they are 3yrs old.Thats because they have listened to the village idiots who have never had 1 or probably seen 1 graft.Treat them like ya normal terriers and get them out on rats from 6mths old and following ya other dogs and they will be dug to from a year old if brought in right mate.Ive had them for 35yrs now and hard so thats to hard like any other terrier even from show stuff and not had a problem as long as they are bred right. And never put any pics up on any social media of them doing to as that’s how trouble starts Edited January 1 by lurchers 4 1 Quote Link to post
harryshounds 1,140
My terrier has border in him and I've had borderxwheaten in the past, 20 years ago. Definitely be interested in one in the future for mooching. Quote Link to post
