eastcoast 4,138
If memory serves correctly at the age of 50 (I could have the age wrong) he came to the conclusion that too much time had been spent not following hounds or working terriers and so made changes. I respect that. I'm not pretending that I knew him, just enjoyed his writing and exchanged a couple of emails. 3 Quote Link to post

joe ox 2,600
A life well lived, a really hard part of life is watching good people and dogs get old then having to say goodbye. I enjoyed his writing and reading his political views in EDRD. 6 Quote Link to post
Goly 369
90, madness, I believe he was younger than Plummer, think he would have been 94 ish? Is it just me or has it dawned on you just how fast we age, it felt like two mins ago when I was reading books written by the pair and they would have been around 60, almost a decade younger than my old man is now, thanks for giving me the bug, RIP Groucho. cragman 2,770
Met him a few times and always loved being in his company. He fought for what he believed in, and that was terrier and hound work. Another great terrier man gone but he’s left us some wonderful memories. RIP Sir 1 Quote Link to post
