Guest MOLLY
A lovely sunny day today, fun packed, none stop, in brilliant company. Snoopdog and Daz1976 came at 7.30am (I think Snoop was so excited he could'nt sleep ) A quick cuppa then out for a walk for the dogs to get accustomed to each other and for the pups to burn off some energy. It was like puppy paradise here today, 3 pups of similar ages going nuts. A pack of 9 dogs together, 4 dogs, 5 bitches and apart from a bit of posing and testosterone, not a cross word among them. Quite lovely to see such a big pack working together in harmony. Daz's lovely pup Tia.....a little speed machine at 8mth's old.... Snoops, gorgeous boy Razor, the hare remover ... And the character Snoop ... Off to the mound to do a spot of ferreting. Total strangers working well together... Little Doris, looking for all the world like a proper digging dog ... The very fit and handsome drey... After the ferrets and older dogs had a good go at the few bunnies available, we went to a different spot to try for some bolters for the pups. Tia made quick work of this one, no problems at all and straight back to Dad with it... Nell & Razor both ran this one, look at the cloddy bull cross beating the line bred coursing dog .... Nells first ever bunny , not quite retrived to hand cos Razor scared her so she dropped it for him to have, much to his delight ... Gave her a dead one for a little retrieving practise... After dinner we went out for one more walk before Snoop and Daz set off for home, The 'boys' looking for rabbits... the terriers lifted a good strong hare, Drey took off, turned it away from the woods at least 4 times but the hare finally made it to safety (Hard ground to catch hares here) On his way back 2 more hares lifted and off he went again... No hares were caught or intentionally chased, just one of those unpreventable things! A brilliant day out with brilliant company, just wish i lived more central so friends did not have long hard journeys to visit, then i might see more of them.....but then again Moll.x. cúagusgiorraí 57
Great pictures! It looks like it was of the best days of the season. Nell is really coming along well. Good on ya! I know what you mean by hard hare hunting ground; They go straight for the woodland. You were lucky to find them in the open like that. Quote Link to post
