You've got him going. Was a decent post now you've mentioned saluki it's going to go tits up 😂😂. Mc is here. Lol. Saluki are thick as f**k no brain just no reverse same as a greyhound. That gets a dog in trouble some times. Don't listen to Mc go with the collie. Lol

Lol just a question on his opinion mate. I have had in the past had a f1x collie greyhound and a f1x saluki greyhound out of Ginger French's luke and tbh if i was to get another lurcher depending on what work i could give it i wouldn't have one out of a greyhound bitch tbh.

🤔I grew up around Sheepdogs and Cattle curs, and we did have collie saturated lurcher dogs,...but, nobody I ever knew,.. had an actual Greyhound🙄 There was one about somewhere,. obviously,.. but our lurchers were mostly bred 'like to like',.. and they worked well enough....

The Greyhound element has always seemed the obvious choice when producing a lurcher, and back in the day, these superlative running dogs were in abundance and could be relied upon to produce a reasonably level end product...and even more so for those wishing to sell litters, on a commercial basis....

However,.. the Saluki based , purpose bred , match dog types that have been created through a relentless breeding programme, would seem to have a bit more use in the field, than an track dog...

Indeed, some of the Saluki types I have walked out with, were every bit as trainable as a Greyhound, and frequently far more adaptable in their physicality...

If I were to ever return to the fold,.,. I would definitely consider using one of those types as opposed to a pure Greyhound...BUT,.. the Collie Sire/Dam in this equation,... is still of equal importance..😉

That's what I'd be hoping for something like this old Hancock bred dog. Im guessing 1/4 collie 3/4 grey.. First cross put back to a full working grey. Or a may go for a grey x whippet.
