paulus 26 Posted Sunday at 08:21 Report Share Posted Sunday at 08:21 Not very often i feel i have had a great deal when purchasing bits and bobs, But over the last week i have had a couple of what i believe to be great buys, The first was a set of 8 boxed Bluepoint T bar`s. I paid £40 for the set after knocking him down from £50. I have been looking for a set for years but wasn't willing to pay the £40 each that was and is still being asked for them. The next one was a single phase motor with a chuck and a speed controller. mounted on an aluminium base for £20. It came with a wire and bronze wheel and a couple of polishing wheels. Probably made in the 1960`s but still works fine.

You could have had all of this as well as a wetsuit, chainsaw, and a generator cheap at half the price had you went to Aldi

chartpolski 23,299 Posted Sunday at 10:36 Report Share Posted Sunday at 10:36 Sort of relative to the post ; I got my Virgin Media bill today and it had gone up by £10 a month from £39 to £49 with no explanation. I rang them and got to speak to an obviously Asian lady who said all she could do was reduce my monthly bill by £2 ! I said close my account and I’ll go to one of your competitors. She said hold on I’ll transfer you. I then spoke to a lass from Middlesbrough and she said give me a minute, she came back and said I’ll cancel this months bill, next months bill will be £20 and then £28 a month guaranteed until April ‘26 , how does that sound ? Bargain , I said, go ahead ! Moral of this story; don’t accept the first quote ! Cheers.

I once got in touch with Richard Branson when a virgin engineer damaged my house , and virgin didn't want to know. Once I got in touch with Richard Branson, the damage was put right in a couple of days , and they send me a cheque as an apology .
