Take a bit time and indulge yourself now and again; I bought a nice bottle of bourbon for the first time in ages and just sat and enjoyed a bourbon and coke. This morning I came back from sorting the poultry at the allotment and took a little detour through a big set aside field and just watched as the dog quartered the field and set up a few pheasants and I watched a flock of yellow hammers moving down the hedgerow in front of me. It was a bit nippy but there was a nice winter sun melting the frost. We are the same age and both have had setbacks, but we’re still going ! Stay strong mate ! Cheers.

Thanks Richie , you are right mate, we got to keep bouncing back up, when we down true. But since my wife died in February, this last 2 months really got me very low, most times I OK, then something trigger me off, it like your emotions all over the place if that makes sense. I think once can move back to South staffs, and try make new start, get small 2 bed bungalow etc, meet new people, I think pick up.the prob where I live quite isolated really you never see anybody, good job.i come on here or go fookin nuts lol. Had stop feeding birds, was getting quite few rats round the feeders had get pest control bloke said stop feeding birds put boxes down. Said they go to when the bird food gone. That's sunflower seed, and suit blocks. Shame as liked looking at them. I should imagine most people feed birds in winter time, they draw the rats in , unless there away from your house, butvas the bloke told me there everywhere, so try not make it easy for them, and he right. 4
waltjnr 6,627 Posted yesterday at 16:41 Report Share Posted yesterday at 16:41 Get an air rifle ,watch the birds shoot the rats ,set a few traps your self ,I'd never stop feeding the birds ,especially if we get a hard winter, just wage war on the rats
