Mel if you have the money to buy somewhere real rural in the north/west of the country or right on the coast in  Wales from the Gower up ,it's beautiful, but I'm from the south Wales valleys,it's like a f***ing ghetto, all the bad now out weighs the good 😉I've never wanted a bigger house in a posh new build estate... because the f***ing scumbags are all still around yous regardless 🙈 👍

Thankyou for the heads up dc.

In all honesty , it feels like the whole of the UK is done for . I'd like to move abroad(even though ive never left the country before), but I know that only seeing my grandson once or twice a year , would absolutely kill me.

My only real hope is to get as far away as I can , but still be within driving distance of the kids.

sounds just the ticket mate you’ve grafted time for yourself and what you want with plenty in the tank left to enjoy it

We plan to buy a narrow boat first FM,we will all be  squeezed on that, until we empty and sell the house we are currently living in👍we will keep it for the 3 kids to live aboard, and use it for holidays and exploring. The widebeam will be for myself and the Mrs to live aboard...that's the deal breaker or the Mrs said she stays where she is mate :whistling:

🤣👍

All best with it Dan, fair play to you.

My old man has a narrowboat,  he has a house but spends most of the time on the boat. He rents part of a farmers field and it's about an hour away from his house. There is only 4 boats there, 3 live a boards permanently and my dad's. He has parking for 2 cars and running water to each boat and a decent little plot of land. It's in the middle of no were and he only pays £25 A week rent, it's ideal ! No muzzies no migrants , no annoying neighbours.  Wakes up the the sound of the ducks. Plenty of wildlife.  Must admit I think if I retire or take early retirement it will be this. As I said before best of luck to your new venture DC atb.
